Design/build means one contract covers the drafting and the construction, so there is one firm answerable for whether the finished building matches the sheet. Kevin Penner runs drafting out of the Weatherford office and the construction managers build off those drawings.

This is the Farm Credit building, put side by side by Sawatzky itself. On the left is the drawing that went out before anyone broke ground. On the right is what got built. For a design/build contractor that comparison is the whole argument, which is why it is the one thing worth putting on the front page.

On a design/build job you sign with one firm for both the drawings and the construction. Sawatzky handles the drafting and the building under a single contract, so there is one team answerable for whether the finished building matches what was drawn. Kevin Penner runs drafting in the Weatherford office and the construction managers build off those sheets.

Since 1954. That is roughly seventy years of building in the same part of Oklahoma, which is why a number of the buildings on this site are ones people in Weatherford, Clinton and Elk City drive past every day.

Yes, and several of the completed projects were exactly that. The First Baptist Church Addition in Weatherford went onto an existing church, and the bank and library work was phased so the building stayed open. Tell us what has to keep running and the phasing gets planned around it.
